Seek What Matters

We all seek SO many things. We seek those things because we have lack of it or we have lost it. Let me tell you that losing something allows us to measure and discover the wealth or value of it. It’s only in losing something that mattered greatly to us that we feel the loss. I once lost my favourite jacket. I left it on a beach by mistake. I even circled right back to the place I had last left it. It wasn’t there. It was THE PERFECT jacket!

It took me a long time to find the PERFECT one. For a long time I searched for the exact same jacket. Nowhere could I find one. Eventually I gave up. One day, walking through a thrift store I saw THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND MOST PERFECT jacket.

Of course I bought it! Well, since then I have realised that the “lost” jacket was not the best jacket for me. I LOVE my new one! It is PERFECT!

Until I lose what I consider to be important, is when I might discover another PERFECT. Haha! So loss is a way to find what is valuable……or perfect.
